Let’s Help our WWRA Workers

Drivers, staff, and sorters at the WWRA work every day to ensure our waste is recycled! Let’s show them some appreciation by making their tasks less difficult:
1) Never bag your recyclables. Bagged recycling is not accepted at the WWRA, as it poses a risk to our workers who hand sort recycling.
2) Never recycle thin plastics like trash bags, hoses, rope, string, chains, or Christmas lights. These unrecyclable items, called “tanglers,” can become tangled in our recycling equipment and waste time and money. For more information about tanglers, visit https://wwrarecycles.org/do-not-recycle-tanglers
3) Contact us if you have a question! Email wwraeduoutreach@gmail.com or message us on social media if you are unsure about a specific item’s recyclability. It is always better to ask than to assume an item is recyclable.
