All Recyclables Must Be In The Bin!
To our community members utilizing our free community drop off bins, remember that ALL recyclables must be WITHIN our bins.
When items are illegally dumped outside of our bins, they can blow away and become litter in our communities. Even if the items are picked up before this, they can become wet or dirty, making them unrecyclable. We know you are as excited about recycling as we are, so lets make sure each and every item CAN be recycled!
This is a reminder that the easy option of illegal dumping is never the right option. Illegal dumping costs our nonprofit time and money, taking away resources we could be putting towards waste diversion. If a bin is full, consider using another drop off location or waiting for another day. If you are recycling cardboard, make sure to break boxes down to make room for other recyclers. If you have nonrecyclable materials you need to dispose of, contact the City of Chelsea transfer station located next door to the WWRA.
