In an effort to reduce trash levels and landfill cost WWRA has increased its efforts to promote more recycling throughout the communities and capture more recycling material at local events. WWRA started a program in the spring of 2008 supplying local events with 55 gallon recycling containers to promote and enhance its plastic bottle recycling efforts. WWRA will deliver these plastic bottle containers to your activity with liners for quick change out and pick them up at no charge. To date WWRA has collected 22,000 plastic bottles from these events that would have normally been thrown into the landfill.
